Listening

The air crackles with rage as they stand face to face. "You just don't listen!" she accuses, her voice sharp with frustration.

"I am listening right now!" he counters loudly, pointing out the obvious irony.

"That doesn't count!" she snaps back, dismissing his current attention.

"When did I not listen, then?" he challenges, his tone a blend of anger and genuine curiosity.

"If you actually listened, you'd know!" she retorts, her statement looping back on itself.

"But how can I know if you don’t tell me when?" he argues, his frustration evident as he tries to follow her logic.

"You wouldn’t need to be told if you actually listened!" she insists, her anger flaring up again.

"Are you even listening to yourself?" he exclaims, his confusion growing.
