Being followed

I run, my breath ragged, heart pounding. Every turn I take, they're there. I can't see their face clearly, but their presence is unmistakable.

I duck, swerve, and twist, trying to lose them. Their eyes, void of emotion, follow my every move. It's like they're not just looking at me, but through me, seeing something I can't understand.

I make a quick turn, hoping to throw them off, but as I glance back, there's another one. Just like the first, they watch me with the same eerie, unblinking stare. What do they want? Why won't they leave me alone?

Finally, I can't take it anymore. I abandon my shopping cart and rush towards the exit, away from pesky sales attendants.
